Mindware Psychology – Toowoomba, QLD
Full-time | Part-time | Contractor | Employee
At Mindware Psychology, our team is usually full — but with some recent movement, we have a rare opportunity for a Provisional or Registered Psychologist to join our highly regarded Toowoomba practice.
We know that government and hospital roles can feel locked into 9–5 schedules with limited flexibility. At Mindware, we offer something different:
Flexibility in hours, days, and contract type (employee or contractor)
Diverse referral streams so you're never reliant on just one funding source
The opportunity to work with clients across the lifespan — from young children through to older adults
Options for telehealth, making it possible to work with clients remotely or while travelling
A warm, welcoming workplace where you're part of a supportive team
About the role
You will deliver evidence-based psychological services to a diverse and consistent caseload, supported by strong referral networks and shared clinical resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing tailored treatment plans (not necessary if you do not want to do assessment work)
- Delivering evidence-based interventions (CBT, ACT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, mindfulness and more)
- Working flexibly across client ages and presentations (children, adolescents, adults, older adults)
- Providing both in-person and telehealth sessions as appropriate
- Collaborating with families, schools, workplaces, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
- Maintaining professional records and ethical practice
- Participating in supervision, peer discussions, and ongoing professional development
What we're looking for
- Provisional or General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Strong clinical skills in evidence-based interventions
- Warm interpersonal style and ability to build strong therapeutic relationships
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset
- Commitment to high-quality client care and professional growth
What we offer
At Mindware Psychology, we know that thriving clinicians create thriving clients. That's why we provide:
- Flexibility – employee or contractor arrangements, with hours that fit your lifestyle
- Rare opportunity – our team is usually full; this is a unique chance to join us
- Diverse referral streams – work across private, Medicare, NDIS, WorkCover, Open Arms, Defence, and Victims Services to suit your skills and interests
- Lifespan practice – work with young children through to older adults, providing variety and professional growth
- Telehealth options – flexibility to see clients online, supporting clinicians who travel or live outside Toowoomba
- Strong referral pathways – excellent GP and community connections, ensuring a steady caseload and referrals waiting for you
- Shared resources – access to therapy tools and practice-wide supports
- Welcoming workplace culture – a professional yet friendly team that genuinely cares for one another
- Beautiful facilities – spacious, light-filled consulting rooms in our classic Queenslander, plus free onsite parking
- Exceptional admin support – skilled reception, practice manager, and finance manager so you can focus on clinical work
- Supervision & mentoring – individual and group supervision with our STAP-trained directors, available to provisionals, employees, and contractors
- Professional development – regular peer supervision, training opportunities, and case collaboration
- Career opportunities – grow into group programs, supervision, or leadership roles over time
- Work-life balance – flexible arrangements to support your wellbeing
