About the role

Southeast stone is seeking experienced Stonemasons to join our team based in Caloundra West, Queensland. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

• Cutting, shaping, and finishing stone materials such as man made-stone and natural stone
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and other technical specifications to ensure accurate stone fabrication and installation
• Utilising specialised tools and equipment to produce high-quality stone finishes
• Collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of stone elements into construction projects
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in stonemasonry or a related building trade
• Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience as a stonemason, working on a variety of construction projects
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role
• A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to safety
