About the Role:

As the Café Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high standards in food quality, consistency, and presentation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café setting and enjoys both the creativity and the structure of kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily food preparation and cooking in a busy café kitchen
• Prepare meals for dine-in and display fridges with a focus on freshness and presentation
• Assist front-of-house staff during peak service times as needed
• Create daily specials
• Perform monthly stocktakes and manage inventory effectively
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure equipment is well cared for
• Monitor and control food waste to support sustainable practices
• Always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a café kitchen as a chef
• Strong multitasking skills
• Solid understanding of food costing and portion control
• Creative flair for café-style dishes and food presentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen compliance procedures
• A positive attitude and professional approach to work
