We are seeking a warm, discreet, and proactive Cook / Family Assistant to join a lovely household in Ascot. This part-time role requires availability across three weekday afternoons, as well as five hours on both Saturday and Sunday.

The successful candidate will be confident in the kitchen, with excellent cooking skills, high hygiene standards, and a genuine passion for creating delicious meals. Your primary responsibility will be preparing meals for the couple, although some light household support may be required.

The household already has a full-time Family Assistant (Monday to Friday) and a cleaner. You will collaborate closely with the existing team to maintain the smooth running of the home. The current Family Assistant speaks very highly of the family and will assist with your transition into the role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior private household or hospitality experience and someone who enjoys being part of a professional, friendly, and supportive team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for two adults (intermediate level cooking skills required)
  • Liaise with the Family Assistant and dietitian for meal plans
  • Light housekeeping, including tidying bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Assist with feeding two friendly Labradoodles if required
  • Maintain an overall clean, tidy, and organised environment
  • Follow established household systems and routines already in place to ensure consistency and smooth daily operations
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar Family Assistant or housekeeping role preferred
  • Cooking experience essential
  • Experience with high-end household standards (superyacht or 5-star hotel background highly regarded)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • First Aid
  • Confident, kind, and discreet manner
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Must be comfortable working around pets (family has two Labradoodles)
  • Valid driver's licence and own car
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Police Check
  • Excellent contactable references
  • Candidates must have full working rights in Australia
Job Conditions
  • 3x afternoons per week, 4pm to 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 5 hours per day
