As the Leading Hand Plant Mechanic you will join our Regional Team on a Residential or FIFO basis at our Newman branch.

Department Overview: Newman Branch look after the East Pilbara, from small construction equipment to large mining machines.

Roster: 14 Days On, 7 Off  – 12 hrs/day

What You'll Do:

Lead and motivate a crew of up to 10 employees Manage and handle high-volume work efficiently.Promote and encourage high safety standards and a positive, can-do attitude.Assist in training team members and work alongside them.Accountable for the completion of all aspects of rebuilds and repairs across a varied fleet of Caterpillar machinesEnsure that all replacements and repairs are carried out with the intention of rebuilding customer CAT fleets to extend their life and improve productivity

Skills & Experience:

Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics Exposure to mining, construction equipment, or other industrial areas such as agriculture, highway trucks, or hire equipment.Experience with CAT equipment Team leadership experience with a strong emphasis on safety.Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.Strong understanding of KPI metrics
