The Flight One School of Aviation is dedicated to building commercially employable pilots to an airline standard using blended learning methodologies, a modern fleet, and experienced instructors and management staff. Our Registered Training Organisation (#31285) is headquartered at Archerfield's Tisdall Aviation Centre alongside our King Air charter and engineering operations. We welcome both International and Domestic students.

Role Description

We have multiple flight instructor roles available for GRADE 2 FIR holders. These are full-time on-site roles located Archerfield with some potential periodic short deployment periods at our secondary location in Coolangatta, QLD. The Flight Instructors will be responsible for conducting flight training activities for which they are qualified and potentially ground school instruction on aviation theory (PPL CPL, IREX), regulations, and procedures. The Instructor will also develop and update course materials, administer exams, and provide feedback and support to students.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of aviation theory practice, regulations, and procedures
  • Grade 2 or higher Flight Instructor Rating (CASA)
  • Multi-Engine Training or Instrument Training Approvals highly desirable (we utilise SR20 & PA44 advanced trainers)
  • Experience in conducting ground school classes and providing instruction desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to safety, detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Previous teaching experience in an RTO environment a strong preference

Remuneration

We are offering secure employment with commensurate full-time pay rates. Progression opportunity through to our B200/350 operations is a feature of our integrated aviation business, but we are committed to looking after our FIR team in a commercially attractive environment from day one as they support the progression of our clients and students.
