About the role
Bunge is seeking a Freight Coordinator join our logistics team in a key role coordinating road and rail freight bulk transport within Australia. This role will work with the Logistics Planner to schedule and co-ordinate rail movements and road transport services to meet internal and external requirements; ensuring efficiencies are generated for both the company and our customers.
Duties
- Coordinating rail and road freight within the designated areas
- Identifying opportunities to achieve efficiencies (including optimising and back loading)
- Ensuring safety and compliance requirements are met
- Assisting in managing our network of preferred carriers
- Monitoring performance and KPI reporting
About you
- Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics or 2-3 years relevant logistics experience.
- Experience in logistics including knowledge and experience of booking and coordinating road and rail transport.
- Knowledge of the grain industry.
- Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and SH&E legislation relevant to the role.
- Sound knowledge of technology to support business and delivery of role
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive
