About the role

This role primarily involves maintaining a vigilant security presence, ensuring alertness and focus at all times. As a key member of our dedicated and customer-oriented team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer service to everyone we serve. In addition, you'll play a crucial role in fostering robust relationships with internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be provided with permanent work, featuring a rotational roster that provides flexibility to accommodate personal commitments and preferences.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, your role will encompass a diverse range of tasks including, but not limited to:

• Establishing a strong visual security presence at various client sites to ensure safety.
• Ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property, maintaining a secure environment.
• Offer customer service to employees and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and helpful experience.
• Performing thorough foot patrols within the premises.
• Effectively responding to and diffusing anti-social behaviour.
• Promptly addressing security emergencies.
• Keeping an accurate and detailed log of incident reports and ensuring timely submission.
• Carrying out incident investigations promptly
• Manage and monitor security control panel alarms, operate computerised access control systems incorporating the use of CCTV, and handle related security equipment.

Candidates must possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

• A current South Australian Security Licence.
• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• A valid First Aid Certificate.
• A current and valid South Australian Driver's Licence.
• An up-to-date South Australian Working with Children Clearance.
• Recent National Police Clearance.
• Full, unlimited rights to work in Australia.
• To be considered for a gatehouse position, 24/7 availability is required.

Additionally, candidates should have:

• Access to reliable transportation.
• A high standard of professional appearance and personal grooming.
• A positive attitude, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for engaging with people effectively.
• Proven experience in providing high-quality, customer-oriented security services.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends, in line with the 24/7 operational nature of our organisation.
