In addition to the sales of new and used trucks, we have a fully equipped modern workshop for the servicing and maintenance of a wide range of trucks, from Prime Movers to light vehicles.

About the role

Your role will be performing servicing, repairs and diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analysing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components. Some work on light vehicles may also be required, so light vehicle experience and/or qualifications highly regarded.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and analysing results
  • Repairing and replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, braking, hydraulics, electrical, lighting, cooling systems and other malfunctioning components and parts
  • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
  • Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
  • Interpret vehicle manuals and software to identify spare parts and liaise with sales team for parts ordering
  • Ensure safety of all personnel and equipment use is highest priority
  • Maintaining a safe, organised workshop and work area
  • Communicate any safety or maintenance issues

To be successful the following is required:

  • Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic (essential)
  • Applicant must have full working rights in Australia. We are unable to sponsor candidates for this position
  • Current Driver's license
  • Heavy Vehicle Driver's license (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience on a wide range of trucks desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
  • Good diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good work ethic and initiative
