About us

Zonta House Refuge Association (Zonta House) is a specialist provider of family and domestic violence (FDV) services. Our purpose, values and services have been informed through 40 years of experience, the needs of women in our community and research in leading practice.

Zonta House provides a suite of services for women experiencing FDV that reinforce one another and represent the core of Zonta House's work. That is, when the voices of women are heard, our responses uphold dignity, builds on safety, and challenges the drivers of abuse. Victim/Survivors of FDV are able to access responsive and person-centred support based on their needs to build a future free from abuse.

About the role

In this role, you'll identify meaningful opportunities, craft grant applications that tell our story, and nurture partnerships that strengthen our impact. This is part-time position (45 hours per fortnight) is offered on a fixed-term contract until 30th June 2026, with the possibility of an extension. This role will be based in Willetton.

As Grants and Funding Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating funding applications, working closely with service-delivery team to ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will also assist in implementing new programs and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to drive engagement and secure funding opportunities.

This position is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and experience in grants or funding processes. The ability to build relationships and manage competing priorities will be key to success in this role.

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management, Community Services, or a related field.
  2. Experience in grant writing and proposal development with a track record of successful funding outcomes.
  3. Experience in corporate partnerships or grant coordination.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  5. Ability to build sustainable networks and collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Ability to conduct research and analysis, and use the information to prepare written reports and sponsor/funding applications with strict confidentiality.
  7. A customer focus with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including editorial skills.
  8. Strong project management skills.
  9. Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools to create visually engaging proposals and reports – desirable

The successful candidate will need to possess:

  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • WA driver's license with good driving records
