Parent Pathways Mentor - What's the job all about?

In this role, you will offer comprehensive support to parents with children under 6 who are ready to re-enter the workforce. You will provide personalised support, helping parents overcome confidence issues, gain new skills, and connect with employment opportunities that match their unique needs and lifestyles. Whilst proactively managing your caseload, you will engage with the community to promote our program and assist with business development to ensure successful outcomes for our participants.

This will include;

• Barrier Identification & Solutions: Finding ways to overcome barriers such as childcare, skill gaps, and flexible working arrangements.
• Job Readiness Training: One-on-one coaching, workshops, and group training sessions.
• Personalised Employment Plans: Tailored support for parents to create effective job plans.
• Ongoing Employment Support: Resume building, interview prep, job search strategies, and post-employment assistance.

What You'll Need

• Minimum Certificate III in Community Services, Employment Services, or related field (or working towards) and or/ lived experience in overcoming disadvantage and navigating service systems to achieve education and or employment.
• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency in utilising a range of software programs including MS office.
• Experience in delivering high-quality, person-centred case management ensuring that services are tailored to meet the unique needs and preference of each individual.
• Experience in Community Services and a background in working with children is preferred.
