About the Role
As a Cook or Chef with Alliance Extra Staff, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals that meet Aged Care dietary standards. You'll work across multiple locations, supporting care teams to deliver high-quality food services to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and present meals to a high standard, including specialised diets (e.g. supplements, texture-modified foods)
• Assist with plating, service, and meal distribution
• Conduct and record temperature checks for food, refrigerators, and freezers
• Uphold kitchen safety and food hygiene practices
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of kitchen equipment and workspaces
• Manage stock rotation and place food supply orders as needed

What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are passionate, reliable, and ready to hit the ground running. To be successful, you'll need:
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a health or care setting (Aged Care, Hospitals, Disability, Childcare)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months) for unsupervised contact with vulnerable people
• Working with Children Check
• Evidence of 2024 flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination
• Availability for a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, and on-call
• NDIS clearance highly regarded
