About The Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking an
AI Ethicist
.

This is a long-term contract role
from 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2025
, with
2 x 60-day extension options
, located at our client's
Greenway, ACT office with flexible work-from-home arrangements
. Options to work from other states will also be considered.

As The Selected Candidate, You Will

• Provide early-stage ethical guidance to AI and automation initiatives
• Support the development of assurance tools and ethical risk assessments
• Contribute to enterprise-wide ethics frameworks and governance
• Deliver training, mentoring, and workshops to uplift ethical literacy
• Represent the ethics function across the AI portfolio and influence strategic direction

To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have

• Extensive experience in AI ethics and ethical technology design
• Proven ability to assess and advise on ethical risks in digital programs
• Strong background in developing governance and assurance frameworks
• Experience delivering training and capability uplift in ethics

It Is Desirable If You Have

• Experience working with large government departments or agencies
• Familiarity with public sector values and human rights obligations

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with
Baseline Security Clearance, or have the ability to obtain.
