Part-Time Retail Assistant – Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety Hamilton

Location: Hamilton, VIC

Position: Part-Time Retail Assistant

Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week (flexible weekday hours, with occasional Saturday shifts)

Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety Hamilton is a locally owned and operated business providing quality workwear, uniforms, safety gear, and PPE to a wide range of industries. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, a strong team culture, and a commitment to supporting our local community.

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join our team in a part-time position. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and providing great service — and would suit a parent with kids at school, as we can offer flexibility around school hours and family commitments.


About the Role:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases
  • Operating the POS system and processing sales
  • Maintaining store presentation and stock displays
  • Receiving and unpacking stock
  • Supporting embroidery and customisation orders where required
  • Working occasional Saturday shifts as part of the regular roster

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoys helping customers
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Comfortable with light physical tasks (such as unpacking or restocking products)
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential — full training will be provided
