About the role:

As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer on the AIR6500 program, you'll play a key role in integrating and validating the Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) – a next-generation capability that will connect Defence platforms, systems, sensors and effectors across the land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains.

In this role, you'll take software builds from the development team and deploy them into integration environments and mission systems, supporting the creation and uplift of the Software Integration Lab. You'll work across software, hardware, and infrastructure to ensure seamless system performance in complex operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate, deploy and maintain complex Defence systems across multi-domain environments.
• Support the setup, maintenance and monitoring of integration environments and mission systems.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Conduct system integration thread tests and defect analysis, automating where possible.
• Support the configuration, audit and continuous improvement of integration environments.
• Collaborate within an agile team to plan, test and demonstrate system functionality and readiness.

About you:

You're an experienced integration engineer who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments. You're comfortable bridging software and hardware, working across ICT networks, Linux environments, and modern DevSecOps pipelines. You bring:

• Strong background in Systems Integration and Test & Evaluation.
• Expertise in Linux System Administration, networking, scripting, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, IaC (Ansible, Terraform), and containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience working within Defence or complex engineering programs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.
• An active NV-1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled information.
