Role Overview

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Business Development Representative who thrives on the challenge of winning new business. In this role, your focus will be on uncovering fresh opportunities, forging new partnerships, and taking ownership of the sales pipeline from prospecting to close. You'll be empowered to hunt for new deals, pitch to untapped markets, and play a pivotal role in the company's ongoing expansion.

This is not a traditional account management role. While you'll maintain some existing relationships, your primary mission is to seek out, engage, and convert new commercial, industrial, and residential clients—positioning the company as the supplier of choice in a booming market.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with resellers, builders, contractors, and key industry players.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion: Build your own pipeline, generate leads, and drive them through the sales process to successful outcomes.
  • Market Expansion: Strategically target new sectors and regions to maximize growth and capitalize on increased building activity.
  • Solution Selling: Present and demonstrate innovative products, tailoring your approach to each client's unique needs.
  • Territory Growth: Plan and execute territory development strategies to ensure maximum market coverage and penetration.

What You Bring

  • Proven Hunter Mentality: Demonstrated success in business development or sales roles—ideally in building materials, construction, or related sectors.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Skilled at identifying prospects, cold calling, networking, and converting opportunities into new business.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that deliver results.
  • Strong Communication: Confident presenter, negotiator, and relationship builder.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of building materials or construction products is a plus, but not essential for fast learners.
  • Self-Motivation: Driven, goal-oriented, and eager to take initiative.
