Machine Operators/Gantry Crane loaders/forklift

Reinforcing Steel Industry

Mesh & Bar Pty Ltd is an innovative independent steel reinforcing company.  We operate from premises in Thornton NSW, where we manufacture and distribute steel reinforcement products and associated building products to the construction industry.

Due to increasing growth, we currently have multiple positions to be filled over both day, afternoon and night shifts for gantry crane operators and machine operators. Reporting to the Production Manager, these roles will provide support to various areas in the factory.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operating an overhead gantry crane using a handheld remote control
• Loading and unloading trucks with fork & gantry crane
• Pre-start crane and forklift checks and WHS compliance
• Load restraint Compliance

The successful applicant requires:

• Experience in the steel industry and or using gantry cranes an advantage but not required
• Skilled in using handheld scanners for load scanning
• High level of motivation, attention to detail
• The ability to follow safe work procedures
• Reliable transport to and from work
