About the Role

The City is seeking a new or experienced Pool Supervisor to join the aquatics team at Wanneroo Aquamotion. The position is accountable for ensuring compliance of the aquatic facilities in line with the Aquatic Code of Practice and associated legislations and leading and supervising a team of Lifeguards to maintain a safe aquatic environment. The successful appointee will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff,
  • Ensure facility management and program delivery in accordance with relevant legislation,
  • Undertake daily responsibilities including, bookings, plant/equipment monitoring and maintenance,
  • Assist with the operational management of aquatic services and programs,
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the business, and
  • Promote, implement, and monitor safe work practices in line with the City's Safety Management System

About You

The successful appointee must be an adaptable, values driven and motivated leader who is passionate about cultivating a positive work environment. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:

  • Previous experience in a Pool Supervisor role at a Group 1 Aquatic Facility,
  • Knowledge of the relevant industry standards and legislations,
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising a team,
  • Developed computer skills, and
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and occupational health and safety legislation relevant to the role of a Pool Supervisor.

Successful applicants will need to have the following current certificates:

  • Aquatic Technical Operator for Group 1 Certification
  • Current LIWA Accreditation
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certification
  • Current Apply First Aid Certification
  • Current Self-contained Breathing Apparatus Certifications

Special requirements:

  • Must be able to work across the facility's operational hours.
