About the role

We're currently seeking a Venue Manager to join our team at Moonee Beach Hotel.

This role is perfect for a driven hospitality professional ready to take the next step in venue operations. As Venue Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Licensee, this position operates at an assistant-manager level, providing hands-on leadership across all areas of the business.

You'll inspire and develop your team, uphold our service standards, and help ensure that every guest leaves with a great experience.

Key responsibilities


• Oversee daily operations across bar, floor, kitchen, and functions


• Conduct regular venue walk-throughs to maintain standards in service, cleanliness, compliance and cash handling


• Support roster management and uphold labour cost targets


• Lead by example, coaching and mentoring front-of-house staff to grow their skills and confidence


• Support event and function delivery from planning to execution


• Participate actively in management and staff meetings to build a cohesive, motivated team


• Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG and WHS requirements at all times

A bit about you


• Prior experience in a venue management, assistant manager, or senior supervisor role


• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on leadership style


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment


• Organised, reliable, and focused on creating great customer and team experiences


• Full-time Australian working rights
