SCIENCE TEACHER (Year 7-12)

Full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026.

We are currently seeking an engaging and experienced Science Teacher to join our Science Department in Term 1, 2026. An expertise in Biology would be an advantage.

The successful candidate must have a commitment to academic excellence and be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver a rigorous Stage 4, 5 and 6 Science program.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Stage 4, 5 and 6 Science classes
  • Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of Science and STEM and the factors that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning.
  • Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments, planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.
  • Engaging in professional learning, including contributing to the broader educational community.
  • Collaborating with and contributing to a team and faculty of professional educators
  • Fulfilling the pastoral role of Tutor within our house-based pastoral system and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students

This position reports to the Head of Science and ultimately the Principal.
