Boab Health Services is a not-for-profit comprehensive primary health care organization servicing communities across the Kimberley region in Western Australia. We provide allied health services, mental health services, and an Integrated Team Care Program (ITC) for Aboriginal people with chronic health conditions. Our services are delivered from two hubs, located in Broome and Kununurra, and are supported by a corporate team. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Podiatrist located in Broome, WA or Kununurra, WA. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating foot, ankle, and lower extremity disorders; providing biomechanical assessments; fitting and managing orthotics; and offering specialized care for patients with diabetes. The Podiatrist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and culturally sensitive patient care. Experience in high risk foot care essential.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medicine and Podiatry
- Knowledge of Biomechanics and Orthotics
- Experience in managing Diabetes-related foot conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Commitment to culturally sensitive and holistic care
- Bachelor's degree in Podiatry or a related field
- Current registration with the relevant professional body
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
