As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a driven, experienced, and professional Civil Leading Hand to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

About the Position:

The Leading Hand plays a vital on-site role within the Civil Construction Delivery Team of the Baker Group of companies. This team is responsible for maintaining and constructing essential infrastructure across the wider Central Coast region, including roads, culverts, drainage systems, retaining walls and public spaces.

In this role, you'll contribute to the day-to-day delivery of civil maintenance and construction tasks, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll work closely with a high-performing team to support the upkeep of community assets, deliver market leading projects and help shape our clients' desires.

Skills and Experience:

• Support team development by providing on-the-job coaching to trainees and new staff, fostering skill growth and consistent work standards

• Deliver a variety of civil construction tasks including concreting, kerb and channel works, stormwater drainage, bridges earthworks and public spaces

• Contribute to service improvement by identifying better ways to complete tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting a safe, high-performing team culture

• A reliable team player with strong communication, and problem-solving skills

• A focus on implementing and delivering on WH&S practices, with a "lead by example" attitude

• Hold current HR & HC Licences, White Card and are physically fit and agile

• Ideally hold a Certificate in Civil Construction

• Experience operating a range of equipment including but not limited to excavators, compaction, Posi etc.

• General labouring activities
