About the Team

RDA's Legal and Commercial function is a dynamic team made up of legal, contracting, commercial, IP and trade compliance specialists that support the business in delivering and mitigating risk under existing contracts and tendering for new business.

About the Role

The Contracts Manager – Land 400 Ph 2 supports the Commercial Manager – L400 Ph 2, with the overall contract management of the Land 400 Phase 2 Contract on behalf of RDA, as the program prime contractor. This includes drafting, reviewing and tailoring ASDEFCON-based contracting documents, engaging with key stakeholders to shape commercial solutions, while working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders for the overall contractual management of the Land 400 Phase 2 Contract.

This role will focus on the Support Contract which provides support and sustainment services for the Land 400 Phase 2 fleet of Boxer vehicles to Defence. We are open to applicants from diverse professional backgrounds including seasoned contract managers to graduates and the role is available on a full-time or part-time basis.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Experience in contract negotiations and contract management, preferably in relation to Australian Defence projects;
  • Strong drafting skills and a sound understanding of contract law principles;
  • IT Skills including Microsoft Explorer, Microsoft Office Professional suite and SharePoint;
  • Demonstrated high level of personal motivation;
  • Strong background in working with multi skilled teams;
  • Ability to assist in the development of commercial strategies and consistent processes that deliver competitive advantage to proposals and tenders;
  • Must be willing to travel interstate; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance - Baseline (Australian Citizenship required)
