DXC Managed Cyber Services is the dedicated Digital Security division of DXC Technology. We deliver end-to-end managed security solutions for local and multinational clients, helping them protect, detect, and respond to threats with confidence.
 

The Role
As the Cyber Defence - SOC Engineering & Automation Manager you'll lead the ANZ Cyber Defence team to deliver exceptional security services, manage client relationships, and drive continuous improvement. You'll guide technical teams, enhance operational efficiency, and help shape DXC's cyber security strategy.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of SOC, SIEM, and SOAR engineers

  • Oversee design, configuration, and continuous improvement of SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Sumologic) and SOAR platforms - Swimlane and Splunk

  • Ensure 24x7 monitoring coverage, operational excellence, and incident response readiness

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to define cybersecurity SOC architecture

  • Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to enhance detection and response efficiency
     

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading SOC or security engineering teams in a consulting or enterprise environment

  • Strong technical expertise in SIEM/SOAR technologies

  • Hands-on experience with threat detection, log management, and incident response processes

  • Familiarity with cloud-native security monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Azure Security Engineer, Splunk Certified Architect) are highly regarded

  • Automation experience required

  • Strong SOAR technical expertise (though this doesn't necessarily indicate extensive hands-on experience with automation)

  • AI experience preferred

  • Experience assisting and supporting solution's
     

Only candidates able to gain or currently holding a current Australian Federal Government Security Clearance at Baseline will be considered for this role. Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
