We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance Officer to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health and sustainability of our organisation, while also supporting rostering functions and workforce planning as part of our growing operations.
Please note, this position may also entail learning rostering functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and allowances.
- Assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare monthly statements.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS financial requirements, Happy Days policies, and relevant legislative frameworks.
- Assist with developing and monitoring rosters, learning workforce scheduling processes, and contributing to efficient staff allocation.
- Collaborate with managers to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
- Provide administrative support and respond to finance-related queries from staff and stakeholders.
- Participate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a finance, payroll, or accounting role.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn and assist with rostering systems (previous scheduling/rostering experience desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of NDIS financial processes (desirable but not essential).
Mandatory Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
- Completed or willingness to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
Desirable
- Prior experience in the NDIS, healthcare, or community services sector.
- Experience or qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
