Airswift is seeking an experienced
Subsidiary
Reporting Accountant
to join our client's Group Financial Control team. This team is responsible for delivering financial reporting processes across the Group and its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will collaborate with financial accountants and key stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely statutory and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Group's half-year and year-end reporting, including preparing assigned notes for financial statements and performing tick-and-tie checks across Annual Reports and presentations.
  • Prepare audited subsidiary financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
  • Produce unaudited management accounts for entities without statutory obligations.
  • Draft subsidiary-specific accounting position papers and maintain detailed process documentation.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on subsidiary reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate reviews and sign-offs with Company Secretariat, Tax, Business Unit Financial Accountants, and Finance Business Partners.
  • Deliver completed audited subsidiary financial statements and unaudited management accounts to Directors.
  • Assess statutory audit requirements for subsidiaries and determine 'large company' status across jurisdictions.
  • Manage subsidiary dividend processes in coordination with Treasury, including calculations and reserve transfers.
  • Support liquidation and deregistration of dormant subsidiaries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in preparing financial statements and statutory reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian and International Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Professional qualification (CA/CPA) preferred.
  • Experience with S4 systems desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
