About the Role

As a Carpenter at Fleetwood Australia, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality modular building projects across sectors such as education, health, social housing, and government. You'll install and assemble building components, complete repairs and modifications, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Working within a supportive, values-driven team, you'll contribute to innovative projects that are shaping a more sustainable and community-focused future. These opportunities will commence as casual working 38 hours per week with some opportunities to go permanent with Fleetwood in the future.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Install and assemble various building components, including flooring, wall frames, roof trusses, windows, doors, and exterior claddings.
• Set up building levels and alignments according to drawings and project requirements.
• Build additional structures such as stairs, ramps, eaves, and transit walls.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding to support construction activities.
• Assist team members and labourers to support project progress and completion.
• Conduct maintenance, repair work, modifications, and reworks as needed to ensure quality and safety.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment, and comply with workplace health and safety standards.

About you:

You're a qualified and experienced Carpenter with a strong understanding of the building and construction industry. With at least two years of hands-on experience, you take pride in delivering quality workmanship safely and efficiently. You hold a Carpentry Trade Qualification, a White Card, and a valid driver's licence, and you're confident using a range of power tools and equipment. A team player with a positive, can-do attitude, you're eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative and values-driven environment.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Carpentry Trade Qualification or equivalent experience in knowledge and trade skills.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• White Card (Construction Card).
• Valid Australian Driver's License.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Building and Construction Industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Experience with use of power tools.
• A 'can-do' attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Working at Heights or EWP ticket (Desirable).
• First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
