Job description

Advance Support Co. Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced, organised, and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our professional team in Croydon, VIC (Eastern Suburbs).

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the support team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

This position requires a strong nursing background with demonstrated skills in manual handling, personal care, medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation.

The role also involves managing and reviewing care plans, overseeing the implementation of meal plans in line with dietary and clinical needs, and ensuring compliance with best practice standards and organisational policies.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and professional nursing leader, committed to fostering a collaborative team environment. They will demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities, applying their clinical expertise to promote health, independence, and a meaningful quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and support a professional care team within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment to achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes for participants.

· Collaborate effectively with management, families, and external care providers to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to participant care.

· Oversee daily clinical and operational tasks, including compliance monitoring, medication administration and management, weekly reporting, scheduling and attending medical and allied health appointments, and coordinating staff to ensure participants are supported and the household operates efficiently.

· Ensure service delivery alignswith Advance Support Co. Pty Ltd's values, policies, and procedures, while upholding industry standards and regulatory requirements.

· Conduct regular risk assessments and actively manage incidents, implementing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to promote safety and quality care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities in daily living and personal care, including manual handling, and the ability to guide a team of support workers to follow established processes.
  • Proven experience leading a team, including staff supervision, performance reviews, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with neurological disabilities.
  • Strong commitment to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, with strong computer literacy.
  • Availability to work flexible hours throughout the week.
  • Reside locally (within 30-45 minutes) of Croydon, VIC.

We welcome applicants with experience in disability support who hold a nursing qualification and have relevant experience in the sector.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $45.00 – $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
