Job description

We are seeking motivated Apprentice Plumbers who are eager to learn and build a long-term career in the plumbing industry. This position offers the opportunity to work on a Tier 1 project located in Warrnambool, VIC, commencing early 2026.

The successful applicants will work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of plumbing, including suspended sanitary stack work, in-wall rough-ins, and fit-offs.

At Axis Plumbing, you'll be part of a company that operates across a wide range of projects, giving you exposure to diverse work environments and the chance to develop a strong technical skillset as you progress through your apprenticeship.

Tradesmen should be

  • Attend work and training regularly and arrive on time, ready to learn and contribute.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
  • Listen, observe, and learn from supervisors, tradespeople, and mentors on site.
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when unsure — initiative is encouraged.
  • Complete all assigned coursework and training modules within required timeframes.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
  • Take care of tools, equipment, and materials provided for work and training.
  • Follow instructions carefully and carry out tasks to the required standard.
  • Take ownership of your learning — track progress and actively build your skills.
  • Communicate openly with your supervisor or HR if issues arise (e.g. wellbeing, workload, or study concerns).
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, both on and off site.
  • Be proactive in improving performance and showing commitment to completing the apprenticeship.
