Senior Engagement Coordinator

• Full Time, fixed term position until July 2027

• Base Salary from $126,065 plus 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Senior Engagement Coordinator (Identified) is responsible for providing direction and to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and engagement opportunities at the University under the guidance of the Manager, Indigenous Employment.

The Senior Engagement Coordinator, in collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, supports the Manager, Indigenous Employment to develop, promote, implement and monitor strategies, policies, procedures, programs and initiatives relating to the attraction, retention, engagement, wellbeing and development of Indigenous staff.

The role supports the Manager, Indigenous Employment in the implementation of the University's Indigenous Workforce Strategy and the overarching One Sydney, Many People Strategy.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• manage the development and delivery of entry level employment programs
• support the University's Indigenous Workforce Plan in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders
• support and administer the University's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff Network (YURA)
  provide advice and guidance to internal University stakeholders to improve culturally responsive training and development opportunities.

About you

• qualifications in a relevant field or a combination of relevant training and experience
• confirmation of identity – identify as Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander
• ability to communicate effectively and build productive relationships with a broad range of staff and stakeholders
• ability to maintain strict confidentiality and tact, along with well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• demonstrated experience program managing multiple project work streams
  experience designing and delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs.
