Let's talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to, as a member of a surveillance team, provide physical surveillance services and participate in covert field operations, for the purpose of investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct in performance of the Commission's principal functions.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

The annual salary is $127,513 to $141,410 (inclusive of overtime allowance), plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • Recognised physical surveillance qualifications, demonstrated knowledge of covert physical surveillance methodologies, Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to the exercise of covert surveillance activities, and investigative methodologies, legal requirements and evidentiary standards for investigations into serious offences or public sector misconduct.
  • Substantial current experience in physical surveillance operations within a law enforcement environment.
  • The position holder must have well developed decision making and prioritisation skills, problem solving and analytical skills, work well in a team, communicate effectively with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain, Baseline security clearance in line with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
  • A current driver's licence is essential.

Employment is contingent upon the successful candidate having the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance at Negative Vetting 1.
