Location: Parafield Gardens SA

Mechanics must be physically fit and experienced mechanic - ( Light and/or Heavy ) with good attention to details to work in our busy workshop. The primary duties of a mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on a variety vehicles to find faults, analysing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components for the vehicles.

Mechanics need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with customers daily.

Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • General servicing and maintenance of vehicles including checking lighting systems and performing preventative maintenance
  • Safety inspections, adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
  • Breakdown and mechanical repairs, providing customers with estimated time for repairs
  • Running diagnostic tests
  • Analysing diagnostic test results
  • Repairing and replacing dysfunctional parts
  • Repairing, maintaining, and replacing vehicles engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Road Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Wheel alignments/wheel balancing
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles and a parts inventory
  • Maintaining equipment and tools, and a clean working environment
  • Conducting quality checks on all work

Mechanic Requirements:

  • Australian-recognised Mechanic qualification in Light or Heavy duty mechanics
  • ASE Diesel Certification advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Aptitude for mathematics and science.
  • Good IT and diagnostic skills.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,515.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

  • Overtime pay

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
