THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Building Surveyor to join the team and take ownership of large commercial projects (Class 2–9). As a senior member, you'll provide technical expertise, manage client relationships, and act as a key point of contact on significant developments. DUTIES

  • Provide expert technical advice on Building Regulations, NCC, Australian Standards, fire safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency
  • Conduct inspections on buildings under construction as well as existing buildings
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and design teams
  • Manage certification projects for Class 2–9 buildings, from fit-outs to multi-million-dollar developments
  • Represent the business as the key point of contact on projects
  • Support business growth through building and maintaining your own client base
  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other senior consultants

ABOUT YOU

  • Registered Certifier (Grade A1 or capable of achieving accreditation)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in certification and building surveying, ideally within large-scale commercial projects
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects end-to-end
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Degree or TAFE qualified in building surveying or related discipline
  • Experience in local government and/or private consultancy highly regarded
