Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with expertise in international freight forwarding to drive sales, expand market reach, and foster client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in acquiring new business, managing client accounts, and developing strategic partnerships in the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in global freight forwarding.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with importers, exporters, and trade partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable deals.
  • Stay updated on market trends, international trade regulations, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient supply chain solutions for clients.
  • Utilize CRM and freight management tools to track performance and pipeline growth.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:
    Minimum 2 years in business development within freight forwarding.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in air, sea, and road freight with understanding of customs and trade regulations.
  • Sales Ability: Strong negotiation and closing skills
    with experience hitting KPIs and revenue targets.
  • Networking:
    Ability to engage with industry leaders and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Technology:
    Proficiency in CRM systems and freight management platforms.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to present and persuade.
