We are currently recruiting for a Poultry Farmer at our farm facilities based in the Goulburn area in NSW. The successful applicant must be prepared to work directly with livestock, including after-hours and weekends as required. On-site accommodation is available for the successful candidate.

Reporting to the Farm Manager and Division Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of poultry farms to ensure bird health, welfare, and production performance are maintained at the highest standards.

This role will see you responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Handling, feeding, and caring for poultry in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Monitoring and maintaining the health, welfare, and condition of birds, including daily inspections
  • Collecting and grading eggs, managing nest boxes, and maintaining laying environments
  • Cleaning and maintaining poultry sheds, equipment, and water supply to ensure biosecurity compliance
  • Assisting in vaccination, catching, weighing, and transferring of birds
  • Recording and monitoring feed levels, production outputs, and livestock performance
  • Performing general farm maintenance and repairs, including fences, sheds, and farm infrastructure
  • Responding to on-site alarms and alerts, including after-hours as required
  • Ensuring compliance with WH&S, animal welfare, and biosecurity requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase farm efficiency and productivity

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant qualification in agriculture, animal husbandry, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in poultry farming or livestock farming
  • Proven experience in livestock care and farm operations
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Understanding of WH&S and biosecurity practices
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays

PAY RANGE: AUD 80000 TO 110000
