Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painter to join our Cairns based team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in painting aircraft exteriors, interiors, and components to meet high-quality standards. Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.

· Mix and apply paint according to specifications, ensuring color match and consistency.

· Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, and rollers to achieve desired finish.

· Perform touch-up and detail work to ensure a flawless final product.

· Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.

· Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

· Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Competencies:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft painting or a related field.

  2. Knowledge: Understanding of aircraft painting techniques, materials, and equipment.

  3. Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise and meticulous work to achieve high-quality results.

  4. Color Matching: Skill in matching paint colors and ensuring uniformity across aircraft surfaces.

  5. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

Education and Certification:

Completion of a formal training program in aircraft related safety procedures.

Certification in aircraft painting or related field.
