Maintenance Engineer

PPG is an American Fortune 500 company and global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Clayton manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will report to the Site Maintenance Manager and be responsible for reliability improvements of site equipment and ensuring the delivery of world-class reliability through technical assurance to the assets.

This role will be based on-site, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the safe working behavior of the team including Maintenance Services Supervisor and Site Services Supervisor, demonstrating a high regard for personal and team EHS performance, sustaining a zero overdue status of investigations and actions.
• Produce and implement the site reliability policies for all equipment and systems, ensuring all planned routines are correctly specified and critical spares are available to allow the maintenance team to complete tasks.
• Site lead for all engineering Root cause analysis and implementation of long-term engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrences, manage KPIs including Run Hours, Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF), and Cost to repair of equipment and systems.
• Work with the responsible engineers to implement technical standards assuring all assets remain compliant.
• Supply reliability status monthly reporting figures, analyze trends, and develop improvement projects to address the issues of concern, make continuous improvement a way of life.
• Contribute to site capital investment process, and highlight all engineering projects that have a benefit to the site.
• Responsible for developing and implementing the site predictive/preventative engineering policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Qualifications: Chartered Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience delivering increased reliability.
• High level of concern for standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Experience implementing predictive maintenance policies and increasing asset availability.
