Fantastic Position Available for Independent Contractor - Psychologist

Humans Being Counselling is much more than your regular psychology clinic. We strive to create a calming therapeutic environment that begins as soon as you walk in the door and extends beyond the counselling room. We believe in striving for clinical excellence, we are value-led and passionate about creating a healthy, calm and supportive work environment for both staff and clients.

Our clinic is located in a beautifully renovated heritage building, featuring five thoughtfully designed consulting rooms, a welcoming staff room and kitchen, and a tranquil outdoor courtyard for breaks or casual chats.

We're positioned right next to Malvern Train Station, with trams, Malvern Central, and some of Melbourne's best cafés just a short walk away. For a bit of fresh air and reset between sessions, Caulfield Park is just around the corner, perfect for a stroll and some headspace in the day.

  • Comprehensive administrative services, including marketing and promotion of the clinician, intake & triage, referral and appointment management, liaison with GPs/referral sources, financial management. We grow your reputation through us.
  • Competitive remuneration with a percentage split based on experience ($132 - $174 per client)

  • Negotiated availability from 1 to 4 days per week, with opportunity to discuss increasing days over time.

We're looking for a clinician who:

  • Is a warm, skilled Child & Adolescent Psychologist to join our vibrant team in Malvern.
  • Strong clinical skills and exceptional interpersonal and relational qualities and thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment
  • Passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
  • Is a qualified and registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist
  • Is registered with AHPRA, has a Medicare Provider Number, a registered ABN, has a valid Working with Children's Check (WCC) and Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance.
  • Is client-centred, engaging and evidence-based in their approach to assessment and intervention.
  • Wants to work as a independent contractor in a supportive & caring team environment
  • Has an interest and experience in working with children & adolescents
  • Experience and confidence in administering, scoring and reporting on formal assessments would be a bonus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
