Overview of the AAG Investment Management Graduate Program

AAGIM's graduate program is designed to provide aspiring young agricultural students with a comprehensive and world-class experience in the diverse realm of Australian agriculture. The program encompasses a unique opportunity for postgraduate students to gain invaluable insights into a wide range of agricultural enterprises.

Through a carefully curated curriculum, participants undergo three four-month rotations that take you across AAGIM's managed farms, each rotation specialising in different sectors of the industry.

These rotations offer hands-on exposure to enterprises such as, intensive sheep farming, dairy farming, horticulture and even forestry-to-farmland remediation. By immersing themselves in these varied enterprises, graduates develop a holistic understanding of the intricacies involved in each sector, witnessing ground level practices and operations firsthand. This allows for a greater understanding once graduates move onto the final rotation.

With the first rotation consisting of four months in head office in Melbourne, graduates will acquire the understanding of the asset management process to operate these highly productive farming enterprises. They will work alongside AAGIM's experienced Asset Managers who will be their mentors and aid them in various capital projects, financial modelling, budgeting and operation, human resource management and payroll.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Graduate Program, applicants must be currently in their final year of tertiary studies or have completed their studies within the past year, as the Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelors or Masters level, from an accredited educational institution. While we welcome applications from various academic backgrounds, we particularly encourage students enrolled in the following qualifications to apply:

· Agriculture

· Agricultural Science

· Farm Management

· Agribusiness

· Agronomy

· Commerce/Business (with an interest in Agriculture).

You will be required to meet residency requirements by holding Australian/New Zealand Citizenship or a valid Australian Permanent Resident Visa.
