Configuration Manager needed for leading defence business in Adalide - Contracting Opportunity

Are you passionate about maintaining order in complex technical environments? We're seeking a Configuration Management Officer to join a dynamic engineering team and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all configuration and documentation processes.

You'll be responsible for managing configuration-related information and documentation across multiple projects, including those aligned with defence standards. This role involves working closely with engineering and project teams to maintain configuration baselines, manage change requests, and support audits and reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans and processes.
  • Standardise document formats, revision control, and storage practices.
  • Manage Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs).
  • Prepare configuration status reports and support Change Control Board activities.
  • Conduct audits and ensure traceability of changes across projects.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to meet regulatory and security requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in configuration or documentation management.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and documentation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • NV1 Clearance

Desirable

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in defence or highly regulated environments.
