We're a locally owned company specialising in swimming pool products and services. We pride ourselves on our experience and professionalism in delivering products and services to local home owners. We're expanding our range of services so require a hands-on team member who is looking for an opportunity for a dynamic position with a variety of day to day tasks. Your work would include customer-facing, hands-on and administrative tasks to keep the business ticking along as a well oiled machine. We are looking for either a full time or near-full time candidate but there is some flexibility in hours. As an established and trusted locally owned small business with hands-on owner operators, you will be a valued member of a friendly supportive team. An attractive salary is offered and will be negotiated with regard to the attributes and suitability of the candidate as well as the agreed roster.

Attributes of our ideal candidate;

• Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced environment during peak summer season as well as the initiative to work autonomously in the quieter winter months to support the business on tasks such as creating training and marketing resources.
• Be comfortable using computer systems. Proficiency with Xero, POS & Microsoft Office Suite would be a plus.
• A multi-tasker able to manage a diverse workload and adapt to new tasks quickly.
• A reliable and practical, hands-on person who leads by example and has the initiative to think on their feet to problem solve where required.
• Have a solid understanding of sales principles, point of sale and inventory practices.
• Keen to learn the basics of swimming pool care to explain options to customers.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Technically minded person with outstanding verbal and written communication.
• Ability to use equipment in line with safety standards. Lift items up to 20kg while utilising safety techniques- assisting with salt bags into customer's car boot from a trolley for example.
• Available to work a regular but flexible roster within store opening hours (Monday–Friday, potential for rotating roster of half day Saturday)
• A multi-tasker able to manage a diverse workload and adapt to new tasks quickly.
• Retail experience in hardware, trade services or home improvement would be a plus.
• Manual drivers license is preferred but not essential.

Your responsibilities and tasks will include;

• This is a dynamic position with a variety of tasks that change from day to day.
• This is a full time position, with a half day Saturday on a rotating rostered basis. Full availability in peak season for example in the lead up to Christmas is essential.
• As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a key role in assisting with service bookings and enquiries.
• Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures.
• You'll enter and update job notes into our service software system to communicate and liaise with technicians and clients RE: job progress.
• Water testing and analysis.
• Assisting customers instore with product advice and selections.
• You'll manage stock, receive deliveries, and maintain the store to be clean and visually appealing.
• Maintain records of customer's pools and service history.
• Creating a safe and secure working environment with attention to relevant OHS policies.
• Invoicing and quoting via Xero.
• Assisting with basic marketing tasks.
