As our highly valued Residential Care Worker, your ability to deliver excellent personal care services to our residents will contribute to making a positive impact in their lives.
You'll also make an impact by:
- Supporting residents to live a life with dignity, choice and independence
- Working as part of a diverse group of professionals that includes nurses, allied health, lifestyles and hotel services
- Delivering personal care that is connected, personalised and considerate, in line with Helping Hand's service ethos
- Maintaining the privacy rights of residents
- Participating in learning activities to improve your understanding of resident needs
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate III in Aged Care or studying towards a nursing qualification and have completed the placement stages
- Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
- A minimum of 6-12 months experience as a care worker (ideally in an aged care setting)
- Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
- A valid NDIS worker screening check or be willing to obtain one
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Previous experience in the aged care sector
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently
- Current First Aid certificate
