This is a recruitment pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointment. Fixed Term appointment will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

What is our Clerk - Ward role?
Responsibilities
Clerk - Ward is responsible for the provision of the ward administration / clerical services, admission and discharge procedures and medical record maintenance. This includes:

  • Providing a comprehensive ward reception service to staff, patients and members of the public.
  • Preparing and maintaining patient medical records relating to ward admissions, internal transfers and discharges.
  • Liaising with the Ward CNS/Ward Shift Coordinator and/or Discharge Coordinator in arranging patient transport through the Patient Assisted Transport Service (PATS) to various facilities.

This role reports to the Coordinator Ward Clerk Service.
