Strutt Studios - Redfern, Sydney | Hybrid role

At Strutt Studios, we design interiors that are thoughtful, timeless and highly functional. We're a collaborative studio that works across commercial workplaces, residential projects, and bespoke fit-outs, with a focus on bringing creativity, resourcefulness and commercial understanding together in every project.

We're looking for an Interior Architect or Interior Designer with 2–5 years' industry experience to join our team in Redfern. This role is hands-on across the full design process- from client briefing and concept through to documentation and delivery-and is best suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced studio environment, enjoys responsibility, and values collaboration.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as Lead Designer on a variety of projects, from concept to completion.
  • Preparing concepts, mood boards in InDesign
  • Selecting finishes and FF&E to suit product type and illustrating these in renders using 3D modelling software and Photoshop
  • Producing drawing documentation for tender and construction in Revit.
  • Producing finishes and FF&E schedules in Excel
  • Meeting with clients, project managers, consultants, suppliers and builders to problem solve and deliver outcomes.
  • Supporting site measures, coordination and project administration.
  • Representing Strutt Studios at client and industry events.

What we're looking for

  • Approx. 2–5 years' experience as an Interior Architect or Interior Designer (commercial workplace experience highly regarded).
  • Very strong skills in Autodesk Revit, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office.
  • Proven ability in construction documentation and detailing.
  • Knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
  • Highly organised with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively in a team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, with the right to live and work in Australia (please note that unfortunately, sponsorship is not available)
