Gamsat Specialist Tutor

Gamsatscience is seeking casual tutors for sections 1, 2 and 3 of the GAMSAT.

Our mission

GamsatScience aims to optimise the way in which students study for the GAMSAT. This company is built by current graduate medical and dental students who are passionate about providing excellent individual and group tutoring. We want to teach students how to critically reason through the humanities and science sections to problem solve their way into medicine, dentistry and optometry

• Freedom to arrange your own session times with students, and move lessons as necessary due to schoolwork or other commitments.
• Teach whichever section(s) you're most comfortable with.

• No hassle. We find the students, you decide whether you want to accept them or not.
• Take on as many or as little students as you like.

About you:

• Current or future medical/dental/optometry student
• Passionate about teaching and learning, or previous teaching experience
• Able to explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Proficient in your chosen GAMSAT section/s
• Someone who enjoys getting to know people, and understanding their goals.

Your responsibilities:

At Gamsatscience, we strive to help our students achieve their goals. As a tutor, you will be expected to;

• Schedule lessons at a time convenient for both the tutor and the student
• Build rapport with your students
• Create homework content for your lessons (all other resources provided)
• Adapt lessons based on a students individual goals and needs
• Report hours worked in a weekly timesheet for processing of payment

What you need to apply:

• Your GAMSAT scores
• Your CV
• Proof of offer/enrolment into medicine/dentistry/optometry
• An Australian Business Number (we will assist successful applicants through this process)

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
