What You Will Be Doing:

At Northcott, you will make a real difference every day by supporting people with disability to live more independently, confidently, and connected to their community.

These permanent part time opportunities are available across our Accommodation Services & Individual Services programs with the hours varying from 24 to 65 hours per fortnight.

In this role, you will:

• Provide personal care that promotes dignity and independence (e.g. showering, toileting, continence support).
• Assist customers who use wheelchairs to move safely and comfortably in their home and community.
• Support safe manual handling and mobility using hoists and other aids.
• Follow individual care plans to meet health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
• Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes in line with mealtime management plans.
• Enable customers to participate in everyday activities — from household tasks to social and community outings.

You will be surrounded by an experienced, supportive team who will help you grow your skills and build a rewarding career in disability support.

About You:

• You are flexible and reliable — available to work mornings, afternoons, overnights (including sleepovers or active nights), and weekends as needed.
• You are confident and skilled in providing hands-on support, including safe manual handling, PEG feeding, medication administration, wheelchair assistance, and transport.
• You remain calm, capable, and compassionate under pressure, adapting to changing situations with empathy and professionalism.
• You have experience supporting people with a wide range of physical, cognitive, or behavioural needs — always leading with dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
• You are motivated to keep learning, building connections, and empowering others to live as independently as possible.

As a Support Worker, you will empower people with disability — including those who use wheelchairs — to live life their way. Whether it's supporting safe mobility, finding work, building social connections, or making independent choices, you will be there to encourage and assist them every step of the way.
