The Severe Burn Injury Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join their dynamic team.

Where you'll be working
The unit features the latest in burn injury technology including pressurised rooms (both positive and negative) to optimise healing and minimise infection, locally controlled heating to warm the patient and the room, and electronic beds that alternate the patient's pressure, minimising further injury. New staff are supported by senior staff including clinical nurse specialists and a clinical nurse educator. Ward based education sessions are conducted on a regular basis for all staff. There is an annual burns core course run at the hospital for new staff, and also an annual one day course on the emergency management of severe burns run by the Burns Association.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Post registration experience in an acute hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
