About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Monitoring Developer / Specialist
to design, implement, and optimise monitoring and observability solutions across enterprise infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
Dynatrace
and
Splunk
, with a strong understanding of telemetry, alerting, and performance analytics to ensure full visibility into system health, performance, and security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain
end-to-end monitoring and observability frameworks
using Dynatrace and Splunk. - Configure
dashboards, alerts, and log analytics
to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system anomalies. - Implement
instrumentation and telemetry
for applications, APIs, and infrastructure to enable real-time visibility and diagnostics. - Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to
define KPIs, SLAs, and alerting thresholds
. - Analyse logs, metrics, and traces to
troubleshoot incidents and optimise system performance
. - Automate monitoring setup and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Integrate monitoring tools with CI/CD pipelines, ITSM, and incident response systems.
- Provide expert support in the
continuous improvement of observability practices
and monitoring strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience implementing and managing
Dynatrace
and
Splunk
monitoring solutions. - Strong background in
infrastructure and application performance monitoring
, including APIs and microservices. - Proficiency in
log analytics, dashboard creation, and alert configuration
. - Solid understanding of
telemetry data (metrics, logs, traces)
and its application in root cause analysis. - Experience with
cloud and hybrid environments
(AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Familiarity with
scripting or automation tools
(Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible) for monitoring automation. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to performance and scalability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in
Dynatrace, Splunk, or Cloud Monitoring
platforms. - Experience integrating observability tools with
DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
. - Knowledge of
security monitoring, SIEM, or log correlation
best practices.
