Key Points

• Hospital Pharmacist position at Slade Pharmacy, St John of God Bendigo Hospital
• Permanent part-time, up to 7 hours per fortnight available
• Weekend roster – Saturday and/or Sunday shifts
• Hours are alternating Saturday 9:00am to 12:00pm and alternating Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pm
• These hours can be worked on the same weekend or on alternate weekends. We are looking for someone who can cover one, or both of these shifts
• Training provided; hospital pharmacy experience not required

The Opportunity

We're excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Slade Pharmacy, located within the state-of-the-art St John of God Bendigo Hospital. This is a permanent part-time weekend role, ideal for someone looking to gain valuable hospital experience while maintaining flexibility during the week.

In this role, you'll work in a supportive and collaborative environment alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Whether you're a seasoned hospital pharmacist or a community pharmacist eager to transition into the hospital setting, you'll be fully supported with hands-on training to help you succeed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your clinical skills and make a real impact in a modern 167-bed private hospital that offers a wide range of acute medical, surgical, and oncology services to Bendigo and surrounding regions. Working Saturdays (9:00am – 12:00pm) and / or Sundays (8:00am – 12:00pm), this role offers excellent work-life balance and the chance to build your hospital experience in a consistent and rewarding part-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you your responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently and effectively dispensing and distributing medication for patients in the hospital and discharging.
• Preparation and provision of discharge medication summaries.
• Offering medication counselling and education to patients.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice on patient care.
• Processing imprest medication orders for use in the hospital

About You

Whether you're an experienced Hospital Pharmacist or an aspiring Community Pharmacist looking for your first role in a hospital setting, we welcome you to apply.

Key Requirements:

• General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
• Relevant Australian or New Zealand pharmacy experience
• Ability to manage your own workload with good communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of health professionals
• Passion for building on your clinical skills and knowledge
