Glencore Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking a Senior - High Voltage Distribution. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa, working a Monday to Friday 5/2/4/3 roster. As it is a residential position, this would be supported with a generous relocation package.

The Role

As the Senior for the High Voltage Distribution team, you will be leading a team to control and maintain, one of the largest privately owned HV networks in Queensland. You will enjoy working in a solution focused work environment, and have the ability to demonstrate your customer service, technical and leadership abilities, whilst maintaining our network. This is a full-time permanent role that offers an attractive remuneration package and benefits with a commitment towards growing your professional development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Communicate with Stakeholders and increase the reliability of the systems on the lease

Provide effective management and leadership to all personnel

Ensure the delivery of effective and safe management of the electrical/HV network

Will take on the responsibilities of Primary PTCEW for the HV Distribution network

Manage the effectiveness of planned, preventative and scheduled maintenance on the equipment and are performed within required timeframes

Collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines/areas to achieve excellence in all tasks and goals of the department and wider business

Minimise the disruptions and provide safe operation of the maintenance and HV teams

Ensure the quality of work is maintained to a high standard, personnel are legal and competent to perform all required

To succeed in this role you will have:

Relevant trade qualification or post graduate degree

HV systems experience would be an advantage

4-6 years in a similar based level position within the mining or heavy industry

Previous experience in the development of others with providing feedback and providing the opportunity for growth

Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, resilience and openness to change

Ability to listen to internal and external customers and address and assist with needs and concerns – delivery on service commitments

High level of dedication, creating a proactive, productive culture

Lead the team, be visible to increase stakeholder/team engagement

Ability to plan, anticipate future consequences, trends accurately

Creation of competitive strategies visions of continuous improvements
